Shipping Specimens

Also, today in the mail I received my order of four European Starlings. It was the first time I’ve ordered frozen specimens online for delivery through the post. The Starlings came from a ranch in South Dakota where they died naturally after flying into a barn wall.

They were packaged very well inside a styrofoam box with freezer packs, packing bubbles and newspaper. When I took the birds out they had thawed but were still cool. I smelled the bag and it was fine so I hope they are in great condition. I will find out in the coming weeks as I Taxidermy them.
